PS Candice requested a change to links to use TARGET=”_new” even though the Internet police say things like “You shouldn’t open links in new windows. It’s bad form. If a user wants to open a link in a new window, they can right-click on their mouse and open it. Let the user decide how to use their own browser. ” Is OK?

For the curious, here’s what I did.

I went to see Ours a while back and transcribed a few comments Jimmy Gnecco (the singer) made – including a comment where he said he was making a movie in Canada with David Carradine.

Well, today, sadly, Carradine was found dead in Bangkok and that got me wondering about the movie with Jimmy.

What I found out is that the movie is a short, apparently just eight minutes long. And it was (at least partially) filmed in Edmonton at a new club called Prohibition. (It is where Stonehouse was, on Jasper Ave.) The movie was called 8 For Infinity, and written/directed by Canadian Michael Maxxis.

So did it get finished? According to this interview, Maxxis was scheduled to finish the movie by the end of April. So there is a chance since Carradine was in Thailand. But I don’t know for sure.

Finding any information on the web about this has been difficult. There is no page for the movie at IMDb. The director has a MySpace site but it’s just some videos and (cool) pictures. His website is a (similarly cool – gotta admit, he looks like a real up-and-comer) portfolio. Guess we wait and see what turns up.

Too many distractions, Boom Blox and otherwise, to post regularly. I’ll try to get back on track tomorrow, folks.

Side note, I finished my Christmas listerine today. Thanks Lisa! That means that 6.75 liters lasts me 161 days. You’re supposed to use 40 ml per day (twice per day, 20 ml). I think I averaged about 42 ml.
